A special screening of Atomic Flame: Three Minutes to Midnight, featuring Martin Sheen will be debuted in Los Angeles and San Francisco. Atomic Flame: Three Minutes to Midnight is a film by Matt Taylor, Executive Director of the Global Nuclear Disarmament Fund. It documents the epic journey of a group of Japanese monks on a mission of peace. Travel with them as they return the embers of the atomic bomb to the place of its inception at the Trinity Test Site in New Mexico.
The Global Nuclear Disarmament Fund is dedicated to the proliferation of world peace through public participation in the dismantlement of nuclear weapons. MEF’s creative director, Tom Tor, grew up during the Khmer Rouge Regime in Cambodia and experienced the ravages of war first hand. He feels compelled to address the landmine crisis in Cambodia and the terrors of war in other nations. Thus, Tom prioritizes pro bono work for MEF and donates their design, expertise, and money to the U.N.’s anti-land mine initiative.
When Tajima Creative adopted Global Nuclear Disarmament Fund as their primary pro bono client for 2008, they were astonished to learn that the public can participate in nuclear weapons dismantlement and put the metal to good use. Tajima was inspired to do more.
We put our heads together and came up with Peace is Disarming, LLC, committed to building a movement among future generations that educates about the destructive process of war and the serious repercussions and consequences of its aftermath. We raise awareness through various forms of media and consumer products and help organizations achieve their peaceful goals by supplying creative vision and marketing that they could otherwise not afford.
