The Killing Field Poster
07-Apr-95
This project is closer to my heart because of where I’m from, I was born in Cambodia and had lived during the Khmer Rouge communist regine I had cut off all contact from my family, and the outside world then was forced to work in an agricultural collective labor. Many of my people had died from starvation and disease, with thousands more peopele was tortured and executed. They’re an estimated 1.7 million people had died, I was lucky to be survived everyday I thanks gods for giving me a second chance at life. This poster is my way of expression and honoring the thousands of Khmer people had died or executed in the rice fields. I decided to make this poster as minimum as possible by putting the bullets as part of the rice seeds as there’s blossom and let the poster for speak it self.
